Our 4 luxury self-catering timber eco-chalets are powered by a combination of solar and wind. Because they have ample battery storage we seldom have problems with power outages.
Spacious and airy, each chalet accommodates 4 adults in two bedrooms and 2 children in an upstairs loft room. A large bathroom with bath and shower is complemented by an outside shower and an additional toilet. The outdoor shower is a perfect way to enjoy nature!
There is a large open plan kitchen with dining and sitting areas and a fireplace, which open onto an expansive wrap-around deck with views across the reserve. Each chalet has its own braai (barbecue) area.
Accommodation is all on a self-catering basis, although breakfast and dinners can be arranged, with enough notice. Breakfast is a continental platter that your hosts will deliver to your chalet and dinner is presented as a braai (barbeque).
Reflections Eco-Reserve in Wilderness, just 4,5 hours from Cape Town, is located on the Rondevlei and surrounded by the Garden Route National Park. It has access to it all: beaches, forests, mountains, birding and fantastic walks are all very accessible from the reserve.
The Rondevlei is part of a series of estuarine lakes that contribute in a large way to the Garden Route’s fame as South Africa’s favourite holiday destination. As a designated Ramsar site no boating or fishing is permitted. This ensures a tranquil and peaceful environment with fantastic birdlife. Besides nesting resident Fish Eagles we boast about 140 species of birds as well as Cape clawless otter, water mongoose, caracal, bushpig, grysbok and grey duiker.
