A conservation-led eco-reserve in the Wilderness Lakes

Reflections Eco-Reserve lies on the Rondevlei in the Garden Route, a Ramsar-recognised wetland of international importance, and is surrounded by the Garden Route National Park.

Here restored wetlands and recovering landscapes create space to slow down, reconnect with nature and feel renewed within one of South Africa’s most important natural environments.

Less than an hour from George Airport and 4.5 hours from Cape Town, Reflections Eco-Reserve offers rare access to immersive nature living, exceptional birding, forests and beaches – all from a single, protected area.

Tim & Angelique Carr

Reflections Eco-Reserve is an accommodation and conservation destination, owned and run by Tim and Angelique Carr.

Together they bring decades of experience in guiding, lodge management and ecological restoration from some of Africa’s most respected reserves to this protected corner of the Garden Route. Since 2007, the Carrs have worked to restore the land, live lightly upon it and share it with guests drawn to places of nature, stillness and reconnection.

Reflections Eco-Reserve is an invitation to reflect on the natural world and our place within it – while watching light and sky reflected across the wetlands and Wilderness Lakes.
